Ziwei Compass (the 'Service') is operated by Ekinein Limited, a company based in Hong Kong ('Ekinein', 'we', 'us'). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your email address, which you use to sign in with a one-time code. We do not use passwords.

Reading information: the name, birth date, birth time and birth place you enter to create a reading, plus the resulting chart, the readings generated for you, and the questions you ask inside the Service.

Purchase information: whether a reading has been unlocked and which plan it uses. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never receive or store your card number.

Technical information: device and browser details, pages visited and similar usage data, collected through cookies and Google Analytics.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to sign you in, generate and save your readings, process purchases and unlock content, provide support, keep the Service secure, understand how it is used so we can improve it, and comply with the law.

4. AI and service providers

The text of your readings is generated with Google's Gemini AI. To produce it, your name, birth details and chart data are sent to Google. Audio playback uses Google Cloud Text-to-Speech.

We also rely on Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), PDFShift (which converts your reading into a PDF when you download it, and therefore receives the reading's content), OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service (which receives the birth place you type in order to look it up) and Google Analytics (usage statistics). These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure how the Service is used. Pages that embed YouTube videos may also set cookies from Google and YouTube.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your account and reading data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by writing to …. We may keep limited records where the law requires it, such as payment records.

7. Your rights

Under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you may ask to access and correct the personal data we hold about you.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR also gives you the right to erasure, restriction, portability and objection, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in South Korea, the Personal Information Protection Act also gives you the right to request access, correction, deletion and suspension of processing of your personal information.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process your data outside your country, including in the United States, Europe and Asia. We rely on the safeguards our providers offer for such transfers.
